A stylish iconic 1950's vintage modernist Danish silver brooch by Karen Strand for Anton Michelsen. It is depicted in Jacob Thage's 1990 book 'Danish Jewellery' and is called the Persian Palm brooch. The rear of the brooch has a sterling silver pin and rollover C clasp closure. It is signed with a crown symbol "AM", "STERLING DENMARK", and "STRAND". It is in good vintage condition with small signs of wear commensurate with age. It measures approximately 6.2 cm x 3 cm wide (at the widest part).Weight is 23 grams. It is estimated to date from the 1950's.
