Very beautiful Art Deco vintage Georg Jensen /Arno Malinowski large sterling silver butterfly brooch. It has a pin and rollover C clasp to the rear. It it signed "GEORG JENSEN", "925 S DENMARK 283" , "GJLD" and has silver import hallmarks for London 1968. It is in very good condition. The brooch measures approximately 5.2 cm in diameter .Weight is 26 grams.
Arno Malinowski was a successful designer who worked with the Georg Jensen Company from 1936 to 1944 and again from 1949 to 1965. He often featured detailed designs of animals in his work.
