Stunning and rare Ronald Hayes Pearson designer vintage modernist sterling silver collar necklace with two interchangeable gemstone pendants. One of the pendants has two lovely quality light grey cats eye moonstone gems bezel set in circular silver settings. The other pendant has green malachite cabochons bezel set in sterling silver settings. It is signed " PEARSON" and "STERLING" on the rear.
The moonstone pendant measures approximately 5.8 x 2 cm wide (at the widest part). The malachite pendant measures approximately 7.3 x 1.8 cm wide (at the widest part.) The silver collar measures approximately 11.7 x 10.5 cm (clear internal dimensions). Weight of malachite version is 48 grams. Weight of moonstone version is 37 grams. Estimated to date from 1950's - 60's. It is in very good condition.
Ronald Hayes Pearson was one of the most highly regarded art jewellers and metalsmiths of mid century America.
